At Last...

"My love has come along..."
It's official I've fallen in love with a pair of boots. I went to Cal Ranch to find my soulmate, and it just so happens I met him. One day, one setting. It was an easy decision, we were in love. He fitted perfectly into my life. He will never leave me. Best decision of my life. That is until I find many more... A girl can never have too many boots! Now I just need a cowboy to match my boots. A fine one at that! Please.

Starry-eyed

This song speaks to me in a way...
At times there can be an attraction between two people. Everybody's starry-eyed. Constantly looking for that someone. Senses may become numb. Becoming more attracted to someone physically other than by personality. Looks may be another factor. Star struck. We yearn for that someone. We all want to feel or be loved. I do.

Next Chapter

I don't like growing up...
Harmony and I have recently moved back to Cedar City. Wahoo. We're going out on a limb, and we've been looking for J-O-B-S... Unsuccessful. Though it's okay because we've been having too much fun otherwise. Catching up and hanging out with friends has been successful; I'd say! Jobs, eh who needs em'?! Actually, wait. I DO. But oh well, it'll have to be okay for now!
Being without the 'Pa-rentals' is definitely an eye opener... At times you really like it, and then there are times when you just want to blow your brains out. Well not literally, but you get the picture...
Being alone is not fun. That's why we invented socializing, my friends! I've been getting enough from Singles Ward, that's for sure. You constantly have to be introducing yourself. "Hi I'm Melody, and I'm from Panaca, Nevada." (I'm lame, don't look at me.)
Everyone tends to say what they're majoring in, and since I'm not going to school I discovered my new major... "Hi I'm Melody, and I'm majoring in cowboys!" YEE-HAW! HOT DANG. This photo is when I was in Walmart and there was a group of cowboys and I was loosing it. Seriously. *Sigh* You see the expression? I went to heaven and came back. Walmart's motto: "Save money. Live better." Boy, did I live that day... Best Walmart trip ever! AWE YEAH.

DIY: Denim Jacket Vest

I decided to make a vest with my vintage Levi's jean jacket! I love how it turned out. The sleeves were just too short and bulky for my small frame. So I thought I'd make it more useful! It's so easy, just take a pair of scissors and cut where the seam ends at the shoulder. I'd say it's common sense. I did it. You can too, I believe in you. I also frayed the edges to make it look even more awesome. Don't be afraid to spice up that old acid wash 80's looking jean jacket! It looks more flattering, just look at the before photo compared to the after photos. Tis' much better!

Bike Ride: Heart of Lincoln County

Take a ride in the country with me...
Lately I've had nothing to do, no one to hang out with. It makes me feel lonely sometimes or maybe just a loser. Yeah. So today I decided I was going to get off my butt and go do something! A bike ride. I went down a dirt road as you can see, letting it take me to where ever it intended to. This country is so beautiful, and I'm so glad I was able to discover new things even if I was by myself! Sometimes you and can be your own best friend. I can, I guess.
